Idaho State 32, Sacramento State 24 Sunday September 29, 2002POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) Idaho State's Dough Baughman threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns as the Bengals rallied to beat Sacramento State 32-24 Saturday. Idaho State (2-2, 1-1 Big Sky) trailed 14-0 after less than six minutes of play thanks to a pair of Sacramento State (1-3, 0-0) touchdown passes from Ryan Leadingham. The Bengals switched to an aggressive defense and controlled Sacramento State the rest of the game. Baughman capped off a 15-point second quarter, throwing a touchdown pass to Sale Key with five seconds left to halftime. Baughman's 24-yard touchdown throw to Jemaine Anderson gave ISU its first lead at 22:17 in the third quarter. Late in the game, with ISU leading 29-24, Leadingham fumbled at the Idaho State 41-yard line on a third-down play. The ball was picked up and returned 49 yards by the Bengal's Mike Rose. ISU's Issac Mitchell finished the game with 105 rushing yards. ( |
