Glaus homers in four straight at-bats Monday September 16, 2002OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Anaheim's Troy Glaus hit a first-inning home run Monday night against Oakland to give him homers in four straight at-bats, tying a major league record. Glaus hit a three-run shot to right off Cory Lidle for a 3-0 lead. His 28th homer of the season gave him 104 RBIs. He struck out in the fourth inning, leaving him tied with 31 players for the record. Glaus homered a career-high three times Sunday, in his final three at-bats of a 13-4 win over Texas. Seattle's Mike Cameron, Los Angeles' Shawn Green and Atlanta's Andruw Jones have also hit four straight homers this year. ( |
