Ashby scratched from start
Thursday August 14, 2003MIAMI (AP) Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Andy Ashby was scratched from his scheduled start Wednesday night against Florida when he became ill.
Ashby came down with an apparent case of the flu Wednesday morning. Left-hander Wilson Alvarez started for Ashby on three days of rest in a 2-1 loss to the Marlins in 11 innings.
Kevin Brown's next scheduled start was pushed up from Friday to Thursday against Florida. Ashby was tentatively rescheduled to pitch Friday in Chicago.
