Wednesday August 13, 2003LOS ANGELES (AP) Even without an NFL team and the failure of the Lakers to win a fourth straight NBA championship, the Los Angeles/Anaheim area has been selected as the country's best sports city for the past year by the Sporting News.
The magazine it will present the award during a ceremony before Saturday night's game in Anaheim between the Angels and Detroit Tigers.
