Saturday March 01, 2003BOSTON (AP) Jeremy Roenick scored his second goal of the game one minute into overtime, lifting the Philadelphia Flyers to a 3-2 victory Saturday over the Boston Bruins.
Donald Brashear also scored as Philadelphia, 5-1-2 in its last eight games, improved to 21-0-3 when leading after two periods.
Brian Rolston and Rob Zamuner scored for Boston, which fell to 0-4-3-1 in its last eight games. The Bruins are enduring their worst stretch since opening the 1999-2000 season 0-5-4.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Scott Walker beat Jocelyn Thibault from in close with 2:11 remaining in overtime to give Nashville the victory Predators a 5-4 victory Saturday over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Nashville also got goals from Vitali Yachmenev, Clarke Wilm, Andy Delmore and Rem Murray. Lyle Odelin, Chris Simon, Steve Thomas and Alexei Zhamnov scored for Chicago.
The victory was costly, however. David Legwand, the Nashville points leader with 47, will miss the next four-to-six weeks with a broken right collarbone, an injury sustained midway through the third period.< ^Avalanche 4, Penguins 1=
DENVER (AP) Steven Reinprecht and Rob Blake scored 1:41 apart, and the Colorado Avalanche got all their goals in the final period.
Mario Lemieux, playing his first regular-season game in Denver since March 14, 1997, had the Pittsburgh goal in the second period.
Peter Forsberg and Milan Hejduk also scored for the Avalanche.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Bryan Smolinski had two goals an an assist including his eighth game-winner this season for Los Angeles.
Ziggy Palffy and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky had a goal and an assist each for Los Angeles, which began a season-high five-game homestand its seventh win in the last nine at Staples Center.
Ilya Kovalchuk scored for the Thrashers, 2-6-2 following an 8-3-1 stretch.
