Saturday June 14, 2003UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) Christie Welsh scored two goals as the New York Power beat the San Jose CyberRays 3-1 on Saturday night to extend their winning streak to three games.
Emily Janss opened the scoring for the Power (5-5-1) in the 21st minute, and Welsh added her fifth and sixth goals of the season in the second half.
Katie Antongiovanni scored for San Jose (4-6-0).
Saskia Webber made three saves for the Power. She is 2-0-1 with a 0.33 goals-against average since returning from a calf injury.
