Quake rattles California-Mexico border near Calexico

CALEXICO, Calif. (AP) A small earthquake rattled northern Baja California on Saturday, but there were no reports of damage or injury.

The magnitude-4.2 temblor struck at 6:25 p.m. and was centered in Mexico about 25 miles southeast of Calexico, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Geological Survey.

Calexico is located in Imperial County on the U.S.-Mexico border about 95 miles east of San Diego.

A dispatcher with the Imperial County Sheriff's Department said there were no reports of damage or injury.
