Parents of 4-year-old killed by Muni truck sue S.F., driver
Friday August 01, 2003SAN FRANCISCO (AP) The parents of a four-year-old girl killed in a car accident have filed suit against the city of San Francisco and the driver of the city Municipal Railway truck for $25 million.
Humberto and Sylvia Dominguez are alleging negligence and the wrongful death of their daughter in the suit filed today in San Francisco Superior Court.
On Feb. 11, their daughter Elizabeth Dominguez, 4, was walking home with her mother and some other children when one of the city's municipal railway trucks struck another vehicle in an intersection, propelling it into them and killing the little girl.
Sylvia Dominguez and three other children were injured and the suit alleges that all of them suffered psychological trauma due to the accident.
The suit named the city and county of San Francisco, the San Francisco Municipal Railway and the driver of the bus as defendants.
