Mark S. Allen For as long as he can remember, Mark S. Allen, entertainment reporter on Good Day Sacramento (weekdays 5:30 am to 10 am), wanted to be in show biz. He didn't know where, how or when, but he knew he wanted to be as close as possible to the spotlight. His moment came one day when he appeared as a ventriloquist (those people that throw their voice) in a radio station talent show. "Kid, you should be in radio when you get older," was the reaction of the station manager as he soaked up Mark's act. Three years later, Mark launched his career at that same radio station. In addition to his #1 rated radio show on Sacramento's Jammin' 102.5, Mark's credits include host and creator of the wildly popular segment, "Dateless and Desperate" on the Emmy-Award winning nationally syndicated show, "Scratch", and the oh, so appropriate host of "Short Attention Span Theater", an Ace-Award winning show on Comedy Central. After his show on Comedy Central was cancelled, Mark was lured by the Quality of life Sacramento offers. He left New York to feel the warm embrace of the Good Day Sacramento family. His witty, though questionable style can be seen each day as he interviews the biggest stars in the biz (like Jim Carey, Robert DeNiro and Russell Crowe) and brings Hollywood news to you.
