MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (AP) Police arrested a man Saturday morning on suspicion he had kidnapped his young son at gunpoint about 12 hours earlier.
Police said Sergio Llamas Hernandez, 27, abducted his 4-year-old son Edgar from his mother's home around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Officers recovered the boy around midnight after spotting him in front of his father's home. He was returned to his mother ``in fine condition, with no injuries,'' Mountain View Police spokesman Jim Bennett said, but his father was not immediately found.
Around 4 a.m. Saturday, however, police spotted Hernandez in his car. After a brief foot chase, he was booked on suspicion of kidnapping, child endangerment and resisting arrest.
